
The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RT&CIPF) has apprehended Haywood McIntosh, also known as "Woody", who was wanted in connection with malicious damage to property and assault.
On March 4, 2025, the RT&CIPF issued a Wanted Bulletin for McIntosh following reports of criminal activity. Five days later, on March 9, 2025, officers conducting routine patrols in the Grace Bay area spotted and arrested him.
During a search of his person, officers allegedly discovered a firearm along with an extended magazine loaded with ammunition. As a result, McIntosh was taken into custody and later formally charged on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.

· Possession of a firearm
· Possession of ammunition
The 38-year-old suspect, a resident of The Bight, remains in custody as he awaits his court appearance, which is scheduled for the next available date.
The RT&CIPF has reiterated its commitment to ensuring public safety and tackling gun-related crimes in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Law enforcement officials continue to urge the public to assist in the fight against illegal firearms.
