The Turks and Caicos Islands Hospital (Cheshire Hall Medical Centre) lifted the security measures implemented on Friday, July 19th, 2024.
"We are pleased to announce that visitation to the in-patient unit at the Cheshire Hall Medical Centre has resumed as usual," a statement from the hospital said. "We want to express our gratitude for your cooperation and understanding during the temporary suspension of visitation.
"We appreciate your patience and support as we worked to ensure the safety of our staff, patients, and their families."
The hospital beefed up security after a man was shot and killed and another injured in Blue Hills. The injured man was taken to the Cheshire Medical for Treatment. The latest violent death brings to 24, the number of persons murdered since the start of the year.
