
The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force has confirmed that two individuals are in custody in connection with recent homicides in Providenciales.
A 29-year-old male remains in custody as a person of interest in the fatal shooting of an unidentified male in Dock Yard on March 10. The victim, believed to be of Haitian nationality, is described as a slim-built male in his mid-20s with a short afro and goatee. He was discovered wearing only white boxers in a bushy area behind Dock Yard. Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying him.
Authorities were alerted to the scene shortly after 8:30 a.m. when multiple calls were made to the Police Control Room reporting the presence of a body. Officers responded promptly and located the deceased in a ditch, confirming the initial reports.
In a separate case, detectives have recovered a black vehicle believed to have been used in the March 7 murder of Ricardo Pierre. A 21-year-old male from Dock Yard has been arrested on suspicion of involvement in Pierre’s killing. Pierre was killed in a parking lot across from a resort in Grace Bay minutes after 6p.m.
Both homicide investigations remain active, with law enforcement urging anyone with information to come forward.
