The CARIFTA Aquatic Championships are a cornerstone of regional junior competition, providing a launchpad for many Caribbean athletes who go on to compete at the Commonwealth, Pan-Am, and Olympic levels. For Turks and Caicos, the competition is both a test and a showcase.
Over the past few years, TCISF has focused on strengthening grassroots development, increasing local meet opportunities, and investing in coaching. This year's CARIFTA team is one of the strongest and most balanced the nations that has been fielded to date.
As the team prepares to depart for Trinidad, national pride is swelling across the islands. With a full support staff, structured training, and a powerful spirit of unity, the athletes are not only looking to compete — they're looking to make history.
