The Provo Premier league (PPL) continues this weekend with three matches, including a double header on Saturday.
In the first game on Saturday, defending league champions Blue Hills FC will seek to rebound from their loss against the Academy Eagles, when they face Beaches FC, beginning at 6:30pm.
Blue Hills will be seeking to get their confidence back after their 1-2 clipping to the youthful Eagles, but Beaches, who are bubbling with confidence following their 3-1 victory over Teachers FC, will want to continue their winning ways. That game is poised for end-to-end action.
In the feature encounter, Teachers will have their hands full when they take on Flamingos in the battle of two of last weekend’s losing teams. Flamingo were outscored 5-2 by Knockout champions SWA Sharks FC in last weekend’s match-up. Both teams will seek to gain valuable points at each other’s expense in what could turnout to be an intriguing encounter.
The lone game to be played on Sunday, will see team of the moment SWA Sharks, going head-to-head against the Academy Eagles, in a must-watch game.
Fresh from their mangling of Flamingo FC, the Sharks will be looking to continue their prolific goal-scoring attitude.
However, the talented Academy Eagles would remember their memorable victory over Blue Hills FC and should fancy themselves with a chance to overcome their much more established opponents.
Brian Gregg is expected to lead the Sharks’ charge, fresh from his four-goal onslaught against Flamingo. While the Academy FC aggregation, though one that is filled with flair, should expected a great deal from their custodian Peterson St. Fleurant, who again, is expected to marshal things between the sticks.
