THE STRAND, TURKS AND CAICOS JOINS THE LEADING HOTELS OF THE WORLD

The Providenciales property is the latest addition to the prestigious portfolio of distinctive, independent hotels

The Strand Resort

The Strand, Turks and Caicos, a luxury, residential resort located on 2,230 feet of oceanfront in Providenciales, has officially joined The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd., a collection of independent, luxury hotels.

With a nine-decade-long commitment to providing remarkably uncommon travel experiences, Leading Hotels only selects members that meet its high standards for quality and distinctiveness. The result is a curated portfolio of hotels united not by what makes them the same, but the details that make them different.

“We are delighted to welcome The Strand to The Leading Hotels of the World,” commented Deniz Omurgonulsen, vice president, member experience, The Leading Hotels of the World. “The Strand raises the bar for luxury and sustainability in the Caribbean and enhances LHW’s presence on this in-demand island. LHW travelers value eco-conscious, design-forward options, and this new addition to the portfolio will provide a contemporary combination of both.”

Opening in Fall 2024, The Strand features a variety of accommodations, including Suites, Villas, and Private Residences, which are all perched above the water’s edge with convenient access to the pristine Cooper Jack Bay below.

In collaboration with RAD Architecture, Inc. and Modus Operandi, these luxury accommodations offer thoughtful layouts with indoor and outdoor entertainment spaces, including pools in all 41units and ocean views from every bedroom. All visitors become guests of The Club at The Strand, enjoying tailored services including pre-arrival grocery shopping, special culinary events, and an array of outdoor adventures, such as afternoon boat charters, all-ages sports competitions, and more.

The Strand offers an array of community amenities, including beach access, a full-service spa, water’s edge restaurant and bar, tennis and pickleball courts, Maestro in Residence program, a kids’ club, and an exclusive marina. Set to become one of the most sustainable resorts in the  Caribbean, The Strand is designated as a pollinator sanctuary with many eco-friendly design elements throughout, including most notably solar integration that provides more than 75 percent of the community’s power.

“We are honored to be selected to join The Leading Hotels of the World and are confident that The Strand will appeal to the brand’s clientele of curious travelers seeking out-of-the-box experiences,” says John Fair, managing director of The Strand.

“Our guest experience centers around high touchpoints and curated moments that today’s travelers cherish. We are excited to offer our guests a luxury Turks and Caicos vacation with a staff who knows the destination and can create memorable programming both on- and off-property that delivers on this promise.”

Leaders Club is The Leading Hotels of the World’s complimentary loyalty program for The Strand. With Leaders Club, members enjoy personalized service and exclusive travel benefits that help guests make the most of their stays at Leading Hotels’ 400+ independent luxury properties worldwide.

These benefits include points toward free nights, complimentary breakfast, pre-arrival upgrade opportunities, early check in/late check out considerations, access to exclusive events, and members-only rates and offer, and mores.
