TCI U14 Boys Face-off Against Barbados in CFU Semis

The Turks and Caicos Islands National Under 14 Team will face its toughest challenge yet, when they take on Barbados in the Semifinal of the Caribbean Football Union Boys Under 14 Challenge Series today in Trinidad and Tobago.


In their opening game, the TCI defeated Anguilla 3-1. The goals were scored by Wilsony Charles in the 4th and 15th minute and Idelin Gardiner in the 42nd minute. Charles was named player of the match in that encounter.


In their second game, the local boys trounced the British Virgin Islands 4-0, with goals coming from Jordan Calabria Deane in the 14th minute, Idelin Gardiner in the 24th minute, Wilsony Charles in the 57th minute and Charlie Thornhill in the 63rd minute. Charles was named player of the match.


 In their penultimate game, the Turks and Caicos Islands hammered Dominica 3-0, with goals coming from Idelin Gardiner in the 10th minute, Wilsony Charles in the 67th minute and Khazaiviyon Basden-Dorvol in the 70th minute. Jordan Calabria Deane was named player of the match.


In their final preliminary game, the Turks and Caicos Islands budding footballers drew goalless against the United States Virgin Islands.


Todays, game expected to be another cracker, as the Turks and Caicos Islands players are bubbling with confidence. They are again, expected to give a good account of themselves, and it would be no surprise if they vault themselves into the final.
