Stephenson Morris, Lorenzo Caesar Charged With Aggravated Burglaries

The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police has charged two men suspected to be among individuals that have been carrying out a string of aggravated burglaries across Providenciales.


The men have been identified as Stephenson Morris and Lorenzo Caesar.


The police stated: “In the early hours of Friday 14th January 2022, the Police received reports and responded to a number of aggravated burglaries. Shortly afterwards, vigilant officers on patrol carried out a stop and search of a vehicle and arrested the occupants Lorenzo Caesar, aged 36, and Stevenson Morris, aged 46, both of Providenciales.”


The police further stated that on Saturday 15th January 2022, detectives of the Criminal Investigations Department formally charged and cautioned the two men for an aggravated burglary committed in Grace Bay.


The police report stated that investigators were actively seeking to identify and arrest a third male who was a member of the group that committed this crime.


“The investigation continues into other aggravated burglaries committed around the same time to establish any links between them and those charged,” the police release said.

In the meantime, the police are asking members of the public to report any act of criminality they may have wind of, assuring that all information would be kept in the strictest of confidence.


“The police are urging any member of the public with information on any crime they may have witnessed to contact the CID at 231-1842, 232-8752, or call Crime Stoppers on 1-800 -8477 (TIPS).


“Information provided will be treated in the strictest of confidence. All Crimes Stopper calls are answered by Miami Dade Police and no one from the RTCIPF will know who called.”
