Isaac Farley of Salt Rakers Aquatic Club in the Turks and Caicos Islands delivered a standout performance at the Horizon Blue Waves Swim Club Invitational in Nassau, Bahamas, securing third place in the 100m Breaststroke (11-12 age group).

His achievement set the stage for an impressive overall showing by the Salt Rakers at the event.

This past weekend, the Salt Rakers, led by Coach Benneth Williams, competed at the meet held at the Betty Kelly-Kenning Aquatic Center. Among 11 participating clubs, the team placed 9th overall with 53 points, an impressive result given their roster of just 18 swimmers.

According to Williams, the Salt Rakers athletes posted significant improvements, with every active swimmer achieving personal bests, some reducing their previous times by as much as 17 seconds. The majority of the team placed in the top 10 in their respective events, underscoring their progress and commitment to the sport.

Williams noted that swimming in the Turks and Caicos continues to grow, and the club is actively exploring new training methods, including setting up a 50m training line in the ocean to enhance endurance and focus.

Williams said the next international swim meet for the team is scheduled for May or June 2025, providing further opportunities for competition and experience at higher levels.

Williams pointed out that that the Salt Rakers Aquatic Club acknowledges the efforts of its swimmers, coaching staff, and supportive parents in making this event a success.
