RTCIPF Celebrates Milestone in Police Records Processing

The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police (RTCIPF) celebrated a significant milestone in their revamped police records system.


The new application system, which came online on June 27, 2023, has proven to be a success, streamlining the records processing procedure, according to the RTCIPF in a news release.


On Friday, January 5, 2024, Acting Commissioner of Police, Rodney Adams, expressed gratitude towards the public for their active participation in applying for police records under the new system. The Commissioner also acknowledged several milestone applicants under the overhauled system, highlighting the following individuals:


Ms. Straudy Milicent Jackson – who was first applicant;

Ms. Guillermina Riveras Gomez – the One Thousandth applicant;

Ms. Desak Made Sandra Rustanti – the Five Thousandth applicant;

Ms. Monica Chassary Forbes - Ten Thousandth applicant; and

 Ms. Celia Patricia Aguilar Valdez – the Twelve Thousand applicant.


Commissioner Adams emphasized the significant reduction in processing time, with individuals now able to collect their records within five working days from the date of application.

Ms. Straudy Milicen Jackson and Ms. Monica Chassary Forbes, both recipients of police records through the new system, expressed their appreciation for the efficiency and ease with which they received their records. In recognition of their contribution, they were presented with tokens of appreciation from the RTCIPF and electronic items sponsored by Digicel and Flow.


The event took place at the Police Headquarters on Airport Road, Providenciales, and saw the attendance of Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police Darron Williams and Sgt Huntley Forbes Jr. of the Community Policing Unit.


Since the introduction of the new system, a total of 27,949 applications have been processed as of January 8, 2024. Out of these, 14,381 were cleared under the old system, while an impressive 13,900 records have been generated under the new and more efficient application system. The success of this initiative highlights the positive impact of technological advancements in improving public services and law enforcement processes.
