Quadruple Shooting on Grand Turk Triggers Hospital Security Alert

Visitation to the in-patient unit at Cockburn Town Medical Centre in Grand Turk has been temporarily suspended following a shooting incident that left four people hospitalized.


The Turks and Caicos Islands Hospital announced the restriction early Saturday morning, citing heightened security concerns and the need to safeguard patients, healthcare staff, and visitors.


According to reports, officers attached to the Grand Turk Police Station, responding to a shooting at a business establishment located along Church Folly, dispatched a team of detectives. Upon arrival at the scene, the police officers learned that three males, suffering from gunshot wounds, had already been transported to Cockburn Town Medical Centre for emergency treatment.


While conducting inquiries at the hospital, police were further notified that a fourth victim, a female, had also been admitted with gunshot injuries. The condition of the victims has not yet been officially released.


Up to late Saturday morning, thee police were processing the crime scene and have launched a full investigation into the incident. Authorities have not disclosed any information about possible suspects or motives at this time.
