The Office of the Deputy Governor has appointed Mr. Osbourne Delancy to the post of District Commissioner on the island of Middle Caicos, where he will be responsible for overseeing local government affairs on that island.
Delancy, a former Salutatorian of the Raymond Gardiner High School in North Caicos, Class of 2001, enlisted in the US Army following the completion of his high school studies in 2001-2002, where he did his basic training in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, graduating with core values of Loyalty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity and Personal Courage before returning to the TCI in 2003 to pursue a career in Hospitality Management.
He holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from the Turks & Caicos Community College (04/05); an Associate’s Degree in in Travel & Tourism Management (Cum Laude) from Johnson & Wales University in Miami, Florida (05/06) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management (Magna Cum Laude) (06/07) from the same university.
Following the completion of his studies Delancy was offered the opportunity to serve as the Assistant Marketing Manager for The Turks & Caicos Islands Tourist Board New York Office from 2007 – 2010, before returning to the TCI in 2010 where he, passionate about making a direct impact on these islands, especially his home island of North Caicos, gained employment on the island of Parrot Cay as the COMO Parrot Cay Assistant Front Office Manager, before being promoted to the post of Guest Service Operations Manager and later to their Private Estate Manager maturing himself into a well-seasoned asset in the Hospitality industry.
Commenting on his appointment Mr. Osbourne Delancy said:

“With my passion growing more and more to serve my country, I am leaving my hospitality career behind to join the Turks and Caicos Islands to provide a much greater need, as I put my best foot forward to serve the people on the island of Middle Caicos in overseeing local government affairs on that island.
“In line with a favorite quote of mine: ‘Don't tell me that the sky is the limit when there are footprints on the moon.’
“I believe that the possibilities are endless and will do my best to serve my country well in this new role.”
Deputy Governor and Head of the Public Service, Her Excellency Anya Williams, in extending congratulatory remarks to Delancy, said:
“It gives me great pleasure to congratulate Mr. Osborne Delancy on his appointment to the post of District Commissioner on the island of Middle Caicos and to welcome him to the Turks and Caicos Islands Public Service.
