The killers of 52-year-old Neil Rigby of Five Cays, Providenciales are still at large, as homicide detectives from the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force piece their investigative jigsaw to nab those merchants of death.
Rigby’s killing marks the 44th murder since the beginning of the year, the highest murder rate that the Turks and Caicos Islands has experienced in a single year since recording keeping has begun.
Initial reports indicate that shortly after 10 pm on Friday, December 6, the Police Control Room received several calls stating that gunshots were being heard in the area of Sandy Land. Crime sleuths responded to the given location and found the lifeless body of a male, later identified as Neil Rigby, with what appeared to be gunshot wounds about the body.
The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force has extended condolences to Rigby’s relatives and friends, as they information that may help in this investigation. Those with information should contact the closest police station, 911, the Serious Crime Unit at 231-1842, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 to provide any information anonymously.
