Mouth-watering Double Header In TCI Cricket association T20 Game This weekend

Delovan Hardware of Omar's Cricket Club was named man of the match against Kishco

A doubleheader is on the cards in the Turks and Caicos Islands Cricket Association’s T20 Competition at the Downtown Ball Park on Sunday, March 17.

 

In the first encounter beginning at 1:30p.m., defending champions Police will go up against Jaguars, while in the second encounter Beaches and Omar’s Cricket Club are set to rumble at 4:30p.m.

 

Both games are expected to generate a great deal of excitement. The Jaguar/Police game will be a repeat of the 2023 semifinals, where Police prevailed and went on to beat Beaches in the final.

Beaches will want to turn back the spirited Omar’s, whose tails are high, having coming off of a splendid win from last week.


Omar’s scored an exciting victory over Kishco last Sunday, in a game where Delovan Hardware starred. It was a sterling all-round performance by the ace batter, that handed kischo the second loss of the season.

 

The game played on Sunday, March 10, at the Downtown Ball Park in Providenciales saw Omar’s winning the toss and elected to bat. They were dismissed for 147 runs from 16.4 overs.

 

Hardware was the pick of the batsmen with 31 runs, which consisted of Six 4s. The second-best batsman for Omar’s was Ian Heat with 21 runs, which consisted of two 6s and two 4s.

 

 Bowling for kischo, Naredra Seecharan captured three wickets for 22 runs from four overs, while Yogesh Khude bagged two wickets for 21 runs off 3 overs.

 

 In reply, kischo were skittled out for 109 from 18.2 overs. Khude was main run-getter for his team, scoring 30 runs, which was punctuated with five 4s and one 6.  Simijo Devassy scored 17 runs, getting two boundaries in the process.

 

Bowling for Omar’s Hardware, Roham Hines, Xavier Scott, and Lan Heath bagged two wickets apiece. Hardware was later announced as man of the match.
