The 14th renewal of the stellar "In the Pink" event is set to take place on October 14th at the Palms Resort in Providenciales.


This signature event, which has become a beacon of hope and support for cancer patients, is a vibrant celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.


According founding member Karen Whitt, In the Pink was conceived with a noble purpose - to raise vital funds for breast cancer awareness and support, and it has continued to do so with unwavering dedication. Taking place annually in October, during Breast Cancer Month, the event has grown in scale and impact over the years.


Fashion with a Cause

At the heart of In the Pink is a remarkable fashion extravaganza. Attendees have the opportunity to purchase exquisite clothing items and tapestries, often generously donated by the community. The event's signature shopping frenzy offers an array of blouses, slacks, dresses, shoes, and accessories, making it a fashion-lover's paradise.


While fashion takes center stage, In the Pink offers much more. A silent auction adds an element of excitement as attendees bid on coveted prizes. Food and drink stalls provide delicious refreshments, adding to the festive atmosphere.

A Sea of Pink

One of the event's defining features is the sea of pink that engulfs the venue. Attendees enthusiastically don their finest pink attire, creating a visual spectacle that underscores their commitment to breast cancer awareness.


According to Minister of Tourism Hon. Josephine Connolly, who is also a member of the planning committee, in the Pink isn't just about style; it's about substance. She said over the years, this event has been a substantial source of support for the National Cancer Society.


At its 2022 staging In The Pink raised over $85,000, contributing to a grand total of more than $700,000 raised in the last 13 years.


Community Collaboration

According to Whitt, this remarkable event wouldn't be possible without the dedicated volunteers from the community, including the National Cancer Society, noting that heir tireless efforts ensure the event's success year after year.

Whitt Pointed out that In the Pink is an event that brings the community together, transcending gender and age. She said tt's a celebration of life, hope, and the collective power of a caring community.
