Illegal Migrants Apprehended in North Caicos

Officers from the Marine Branch of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RT&CIPF) detained 11 illegal migrants on Saturday, April 26, 2025, after responding to reports of suspicious activity in the mangrove area along the southeastern coast of North Caicos.
The operation was carried out with support from the United States Coast Guard (Air Support Unit), the Turks and Caicos Islands Regiment, and the Department of Fisheries and Marine Resources Management. On arrival, officers apprehended eleven male individuals, all confirmed to be Haitian nationals.

The detainees were transported to Providenciales and handed over to Border Force officers for processing and further investigation.
The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force urges the public to remain alert and report any suspicious maritime or coastal activity by calling 911 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477. Information can also be submitted anonymously through the Crime Stoppers P3 mobile app.
