Hency Gedion and Krysann Williams were the top boy and girl respectively at the Clement Howell Sports Meet held on Thursday, November 16.
Gedeon, representing Butterfield House, topped the road race in a time of 20.35.72 seconds, followed by Love Joseph of Cox House, who finished in a time of 2.41.0 seconds, with Johnsly Gaspard of Gardiner House ending his run in a time of 22.06.0 seconds for third.
Gelano Brumvert of Gardiner House crossed the finish line in fourth position in a time of 22.46.0 seconds, with Delano Rigby also of Gardiner House crossing the finish line in fifth position in a time of 23.04.1 seconds. Cendly Gerard of Gardiner House ended his race in 6th position in a time of 24.31.2 seconds. In seventh position was Peguy Francois of Howell House, who ended the race in 25.02.3 seconds.
Tahjari Williams of Cox House crossed the line in eighth position in a time of 25.45.3 seconds, with Christian Higgs also of Cox House ending the race in a time of 26.46.9 for ninth position, while Rayshawn Rigby of Butterfield House rounded off the top 10 with a time of 27.02.3 seconds.
On the girls’ side, Williams of Howell House, was the first female to cross the finish with a time of 31.38.7 seconds. She finished 27th overall. Dassy Lacoste of Cox House was the second-best female on the day, crossing the line in second position with a time of 32.05.6 seconds. She ended the race in 28th position overall.
A'Jayana Hudson of Gardiner House was the third best finisher, crossing the line in 33.36.6 seconds, to finish 30th overall. Bervelyne Benjamin of Butterfield House ended in fourth position with a time of 33.44.4 seconds, to finish 31 overall.
Lawanda Borgella of Butterfield House was the sixth female to cross the finish line. She did so in a time of 39.30.9 seconds, earning the overall 37th position in the race. Calecia E. of Gardiner House was the sixth female to cross the line, recording a time of 46.0.8 seconds, to finish 42nd overall.
Vasty Jaques of Howell House crossed the line in seventh position in a time of 46.23.8 seconds, for an overall finish of 44th in the race. Rose B. of Cox House was the eighth athlete to cross the line, recording a time of 48.10.7 seconds, to end the race in 45th position overall.
Issa N. of Butterfield House was the ninth female athlete to cross the finish line, doing so in a time of 48.53.6 seconds, while Gabrelelle A., of Gardiner House, with a time of 50.57.6, was the 10tgh athlete to cross the line.
The first-place athletes collected 20 points for their houses. The second place get 15 points, the third place 12 points, the fourth place is awarded 9 points, the fifth place get athlete gets 7 points, the sixth receive 5 points, the seventh collect 3 points, and the eighth is awarded 2 points. All other finishers collect one point for their houses.
