Flaming Dock Yard Car Riddled with Bullets Sparks Investigation

Investigators are probing two firearm-related incidents over the weekend, including a shocking discovery of a burning, bullet-riddled vehicle in Dock Yard.


On February 15, at approximately 4:02 p.m., police responded to a report of a vehicle ablaze near a residence in Dock Yard. Upon arrival, officers found a Toyota Vitz fully engulfed in flames, its exterior marked with multiple bullet holes. The scene was secured, and investigators launched a probe into the circumstances surrounding the fiery wreck.


Meanwhile, on February 14, 2025, at approximately 7:16 p.m., officers were called to Kew Town following reports of a robbery and shooting. A male victim in his 40s was later admitted to Cheshire Hall Medical Centre with a gunshot wound to the neck.


According to preliminary investigations, the victim was at a bar in Kew Town when a lone gunman approached and announced a robbery. The victim resisted, leading to a struggle with the armed assailant. During the altercation, the gunman fired a shot, injuring the victim, before fleeing in an unknown direction.


Authorities are urging anyone with information about these incidents to come forward. Individuals can contact the nearest police station, dial 999, reach the Serious Crime Unit at 231-1842, or submit anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477.
