Tragedy struck in the community of Five Cays, Providenciales, as a shooting incident claimed the life of an unidentified male tonight (March 18).
According to preliminary reports from law enforcement officials, the incident unfolded around 9:17 pm local time when a distress call was placed to the Police Control Room, alerting authorities to a shooting in the area.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered the lifeless body of the male victim, who had sustained apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was described as wearing long blue pants and a black t-shirt at the time of the incident.
Details surrounding the motive behind the shooting and the identity of the victim remain under investigation by the Serious Crime Unit.
