Experience Turks and Caicos, alongside The Turks and Caicos Hotel and Tourism Association (TCHTA) and Turks and Caicos Collections, proudly represented the Turks and Caicos Islands at the UNITE Caribbean 2024 Trade Show in the United Kingdom on March 11th, 2024.

The contingent also attended an intensive series of UK Luxury Sales Calls in various UK cities from March 12th to 15th.

Led by Ms. Trina Adams, Chief Marketing Officer of Experience Turks and Caicos, and UK Representative Ms. Victoria Cranmer, the delegation, including TCHTA CEO Mrs. Stacy Cox and Sales and Marketing Manager of Turks and Caicos Collections, Ms. Anushka Deegamber, embarked on a mission to strengthen the Turks and Caicos Islands’ position as a leading luxury travel destination within the UK market.

At the UNITE Caribbean Trade Show, the delegation held over 40 meetings with key partners. The team also conducted targeted sales calls in London, Manchester, Alderley Edge and Chester, connecting with top luxury travel agencies such as ITC, Elegant Resorts, Private Traveler, Lusso, Luxury Villa Living, Destination 2, AZURE, Eden Luxury Travel, and Prestbury Worldwide and conducted comprehensive training at various travel agencies, equipping around 60 luxury travel agents with information to proficiently market the Turks and Caicos Islands.

A highlight of the trip was the team's television interview with Travel Counsellors, a UK community of professionals that creates extraordinary travel experiences for their customers, further amplifying our destination’s allure as a luxury destination.

This engagement provided a unique opportunity to directly communicate the distinctiveness and beauty of the Turks and Caicos Islands to a wider audience of luxury travel agents and advisors, reinforcing the island's position in the luxury travel sector. This is key to our mandate to increase visitation and spend to the benefit of our citizens.

Ms. Adams commented on the significance of these efforts.  "Our active engagement at the UNITE Caribbean Trade Show, UK Luxury Sales Calls, and the special television interview with Travel Counsellors, underscores our dedication to positioning the Turks and Caicos Islands as a premier luxury travel destination.

These endeavours are crucial to our mission, enhancing our outreach and fostering strategic relationships to increase TCI's visibility and appeal. We are optimistic about the positive impact these initiatives will have on our tourism industry and the broader economic benefits for our community,” she said.

Mrs. Cox added: "This collaborative effort underscores the importance of international engagement in promoting tourism growth and sustainability for the Turks and Caicos Islands. The UNITE Caribbean Trade Show and UK Luxury Sales Calls have provided a valuable platform for us to highlight the unique attributes that make TCI a preferred destination for luxury travelers. We are excited about the opportunities that have emerged from this trip and look forward to welcoming more visitors from the UK to experience the unmatched beauty and hospitality of our islands."

The successful completion of the UNITE Caribbean Trade Show and UK Luxury Sales Calls marks a significant milestone in the collaborative efforts of Experience Turks and Caicos to promote the Turks and Caicos Islands as a top-tier destination for luxury travelers worldwide.
