Experience Turks and Caicos welcomes Mr. Chaim Gellineau-Manswell in the role of Local Representative for South Caicos effective July 1st.
A son of the Big South, Mr. Gellineau-Manswell will be a pivotal link between Experience Turks and Caicos and the local tourism stakeholders in South Caicos, Ambergris Cay and Seal Cay.
His responsibilities will include leading product development initiatives, overseeing the creation of new and upgraded tourism products in collaboration with the senior product development experts and conducting continuous stakeholder engagement to understand their needs, expectations, and ideas, identifying potential projects for tourism product development.
Mr. Gellineau-Manswell previously worked as the Assistant Program Coordinator at the School for Field Studies, South Caicos as well as a Community Engagement Officer with the Turks and Caicos Islands National Trust, South Caicos.
He is presently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality and Management from the University of the Southern Caribbean, Trinidad and Tobago and holds an Associate Degree in Tourism Management from the Trinidad and Tobago Hospitality and Tourism Institute.
In welcoming Mr. Gellineau-Manswell to the Experience Turks and Caicos team, Minister of Tourism, the Hon. Josephine Connolly said his appointment shows the commitment of the Destination Marketing and Management Organisation (DMMO) to ensure every island benefits from tourism.
“One of Experience Turks and Caicos mandates is inclusive growth and by appointing local representatives in our sister islands we can spread the economic benefits of the tourism sector to all. As a native of South Caicos, Mr. Gellineau-Manswell will work assiduously with the Destination Development Department to enhance South Caicos’ position in this multi-island destination and I am excited to see a closer working relationship between the community and Experience Turks and Caicos through his efforts,” the Minister said.
Mr. Gellineau-Manswell said he is eager to position his hometown as one of the must-see locations in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
“It is an honour to be a part of this dynamic team at Experience Turks and Caicos as the local representative for South Caicos. I stand firm in ensuring that the existing and new tourism offerings of my hometown are effectively promoted and marketed for all to benefit and enjoy. I am looking forward to making a significant mark on the future development of our country’s tourism product,” he said.
Mr. Gellineau-Manswell will report to the Product Development Manager, Mrs. Candesha Mills.
