The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RTCIPF) has launched an investigation following the discovery of a deceased male along Conch Bar Street in North Caicos.
The body (Monday, August 12, 2024) was found shortly after 4 p.m. today, prompting an immediate response from law enforcement.
According to police reports, officers received information about a motionless male lying along Conch Bar Street. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered the individual, who appeared to be in his sixties, wearing a white t-shirt, black pants, and black slides. The victim has not yet been identified.
The RTCIPF has not released further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the death. However, an autopsy is scheduled to determine the cause of death as investigations continue.
The discovery has left the community of North Caicos in shock as residents await further updates from authorities. The police have urged anyone with information related to the incident to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
