A goal each from Idelin Gardiner and Lourvens Pervil carried the A. Louise Garland Thomas High to a 2-0 win over Raymond Gardiner High in the Boys segment of the Turks and Caicos Islands Football Association (TCIFA) Inter-High School competition, played on Saturday, October 7, at the National Stadium, Providenciales.
Gardiner, donning the number 9 jersey, scored in the 28th minute, while Pervil, wearing the number 8 shirt scored in the 49th minute. Three yellow cards were issued in this game…two to Raymond Gardiner High and the other to A. Louise Garland Thomas High.
Adler Noel of A. Louise Garland Thomas High was the player served in the 26th minute, while Ronaldo Registre in minute 27 and Kanye Robinson in minute 41, were the Raymond Gardiner players cautioned.
The Most Valuable Plyer for ALGTHS was their number 7 man Herwins Guerrier, while the MVP RGHS was their goalkeeper Noelson Mauricet.
In another game played on the day, A. Louise Garland Thomas High went down 0-3 to TCIPS High, thanks to a brace from their number 7 player, Charitable Sem.
Sem scored in the 28th and 38th minute of the game, while Joseph Alandy scored in the 33rd minute for the 3-0 shutout.
Ancy Dawens was adjudged the Most Valuable Player for TCIPS in that game, while Daens St. Hilaire was the A. Louise Garland Thomas High MVP.
In another game, Elite High held Clement Howell High to 1-1 scoreline. It was Elite, who broke the deadlock in the 16th minute through their number 16 player Hersley Toussaint, while the Clement Howell number 22 player Emmanuel Lincifort, ensured that his team draw level in the 42nd minute.
In an additional game, British West Indies Collegiate got by Raymond Gardiner High courtesy of a 2-0 goal margin. Liam Thompson scored both goals in that game. He registered in the 2nd and 9th minute of play and was later voted the MVP for his team.
